Membership


Regular Membership

  • Anyone who holds a current private investigator license from any state.
  • Anyone who is currently employed full-time by a law firm as a staff investigator.
  • Anyone who is currently employed with a public defender office as a staff investigator.


Associate Membership

  • Associate Members are those members who are not licensed private or staff legal investigators, but are in parallel employment such as paralegals, insurance adjusters, law or criminal justice students, or other fields that parallel the private investigative profession. Associate Members have no association voting privilege, but all other membership benefits are extended to such members.


Life Membership

  • Any member who has maintained continuous membership in this association for a period of Twenty (20) years without interruption become eligible for Lifetime Membership.

Retired Membership

  • Any individual who retired from licensed or staff investigation employment who was a member in good standing at the time of their retirement is eligible for Retired Membership.  Retired Members have no association voting privilege, but all other membership benefits are extended to such members.
